Galaxy 1.5 KW Solar System Installation / Cheap Price Solar System Installation

Introduction

In this blog, we will discuss an affordable solar setup used to run a 1.5 KW Solar Inverter and a DC inverter AC. This setup was installed for a total cost of ₹35,000, and includes 2 Jinko 585W solar panels, a 75Ah battery, and a 1.5 KW solar inverter.

Solar System Components

  • Solar Panels: 2 Jinko 585W solar panels
  • Battery: 75Ah battery, costing ₹15,000
  • Inverter: 1.5 KW solar inverter
  • Additional Components: DC fan, 43-inch LED TV, and necessary wiring and breakers

System Testing and Performance

This system was tested with a 1-ton DC inverter AC and a DC ceiling fan. The solar system is running entirely on solar energy, without any grid power.

  • Input Current: 720W
  • Output: 970W
  • Panel Performance: The 2 solar panels are generating approximately 700W under current conditions.

System Load and Efficiency

  • The AC is set to 16°C and is drawing a full 1 KW load.
  • To improve the system, an additional solar panel can be added.

Inverter Details

  • The solar inverter can support 4 solar panels (585W each).
  • The MPPT range is 60V to 400V DC, which is ideal for efficient operation.

Temporary Setup and Testing

This system is temporarily installed for testing purposes, as some work is still underway. The wiring is exposed for now, and a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) system is used for fan load.

Powering Appliances

This solar system is running a 1-ton DC inverter AC, a DC fan, and a 43-inch LED TV.

  • The AC runs from 10 AM to 6 PM, with backup energy available until 12 AM.
  • The TV and fan can run until 12 AM, and the fan can be used until 9 AM to 10 AM the following morning.

Cost Breakdown

  • Inverter: ₹20,000
  • Solar Panels (2 panels): ₹20,000
  • Battery: ₹15,000
  • Breakers and other components: ₹8,000
  • Total Cost: ₹35,000

Efficiency and Usage

  • The DC inverter AC has a peak power consumption of 1000W, but when set to 22°C to 20°C, it consumes around 700W to 800W.
  • The system can run efficiently from 10 AM to 6 PM. With the backup, the fan and TV can run all night.
